Description: As WWII rages on, Captain America goes on a solo suicide mission behind enemy lines to find and rescue an elite special unit, known as the Howling Commandos. The Cap eventually uncovers an insidiously evil plot devised by the Red Skull to take over the world. It is up to the Cap to put an end to Red Skull’s evil machinations and bring the Howling Commandos back home safely.

Why it’s a good game: 2.5D side-scroller in which both his fighting and acrobatic skills are at the player’s fingertips through a simple touch-screen control scheme. Including 24 action-packed levels, epic boss fights, a solid Takedown combo system, and several unlockable collectibles, this game provides a rich and enthralling gaming experience. Kicking HYDRA keisters has never been this fun!

Platform: Nintendo DS

Description: Johnny tampers with his sisters’ lab machine, inadvertently leading to the kidnapping of Gil Nexdor. Along with Dukey and numerous gadgets, Johnny will have to stop the bad guys, save Porkbelly, and rescue Gil—all before his parents find out!

Why it’s a good game: The gadget collectibles and alternate paths increase the replay-value and challenges on this classic platformer. The humoristic tone throughout the game also provide a true Johnny Tests experience.

Description: The lazy Doctor Diggabone aims for early retirement by gathering treasures across the Americas. He counts on the player to move the environment around him and keep him out of harm’s way for all 80 levels, no matter how complex the puzzle.

Why it’s a good game: This fast pace action-puzzle pushes environmental manipulations to a whole new level. It maintains a pick-up-and-play approach that is layered with hard-to-attain achievements for the most vested players.
